Quetzal is an organisation that aims to empower the future workforce with STEM. We are committed to providing beginner-friendly content to ensure that even individuals with limited technical knowledge or experience can engage with quantum computing and other future technologies. Thus, we hope to foster a more inclusive and accessible landscape for innovation and exploration.

MEET THE TEAM

FOUNDER & CEO: SHRADDHA AANGIRAS

Shraddha Aangiras is an incoming Computer Science Freshman at the University of Waterloo. Driven by her own experience of finding the quantum computing journey convoluted, she founded Quetzal, and is deeply committed to making quantum computing accessible. Her primary focus revolves around quantum education and quantum software development, aiming to simplify complex concepts and create intuitive learning resources. She has worked extensively in India, and is excited to bring her offline workshops to Canada.

COO: RUDDRA KANTARIA

Ruddra Kantaria is an incoming Computer Science Freshman at the University of Waterloo. With a background in Quantum cryptography, his focus revolves around quantum hardware development and quantum information. He intends to create valuable and informative quantum education for all ages, that improve knowledge about quantum computing.

LEAD DESIGNER: ISHMEET JASSAL

Ishmeet Jassal is an incoming Freshman at the Queen's School of Computing. She has a passion for design and computer science, and she aspires to blend these two interests into a unique and exciting career path.

PERIMETER INSTITUTE

Perimeter Institute is a leading centre for scientific research, training, and educational outreach in foundational theoretical physics, located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. PI is providing Quetzal with funds for Zoom licensing, obtaining guest speakers, content review, and guidance on creating our programs.

INSTITUTE FOR QUANTUM COMPUTING

The Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) is a world-leading quantum institute at the University of Waterloo. IQC is working with Quetzal on its curriculum, and is providing us with equipment to conduct offline workshops.

INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR THEORETICAL SCIENCES

The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, established in 2007, is a multi and interdisciplinary centre with 3 main goals - programs, research and outreach. ICTS is working with Quetzal on making quantum computing accessible to student communities.
